Ice Slide

Ice Slide

Pull back from the elf and let go to slide it across the ice: pull further for more power, and to the side to aim. The wind arrow drifts the slide sideways, so aim against it. Tap fast while the elf slides to brush the ice and help it go further. On a keyboard, use the left and right arrows to aim, hold space for power and let go to slide.

How to play Ice Slide

Out on the frozen lake behind Santa’s village, the elves have painted three rings under the ice. Each elf rides a round sledge-stone, and your job is to slide them into the rings while the whole village cheers from the snowy bank and the northern lights glow in the sky.

Put your finger on the screen and pull back towards you. The further you pull, the harder the push, and the dotted line shows which way the elf will go. Let go and off it slides. The white mark on the power bar shows about how hard you need to push to reach the rings.

Look at the wind arrow before every slide. The wind changes each turn and blows the elf sideways while it slides, so aim a little the other way. While the elf is sliding you can tap the screen quickly to brush the ice in front of it. Brushing makes the ice a bit more slippery, so a slide that looks too short can still reach the rings.

Scoring

The green centre is worth 100 points, the white ring 50 and the red outer ring 25. Here is the clever part: after every slide, every elf sitting in the rings scores again, so an early elf in the middle keeps earning points all game. Elves can bump into each other, which can knock a friend out or push one closer to the centre. You get eight slides in a round. Your best score stays on this device, and you can share it with a friend.
