When will Santa come to my town?
Santa starts his journey in the far east of the world, where Christmas Day begins first, and then follows midnight west across every time zone. That means he reaches each town at about midnight, local time, on Christmas Eve night. Track My Street works out when that is for your town and shows it on your own clock.
Type the name of your town, or pick My town to use the time on this phone or computer. You will see the time Santa arrives, a countdown in days, hours, minutes and seconds, and a glowing globe at night with Santa’s sleigh sweeping along his route towards your home. Towns from the list are worked out from where they are on the map, so their time is “around” midnight; My town uses your device’s own midnight.
From six o’clock in the evening on Christmas Eve, a cosy bedtime screen appears. Look out of the window and you might spot the sleigh far away, crossing in front of the moon. Remember: Santa only comes when children are asleep, so snuggle down when it is time.
Before December you can still set your town and watch the countdown. On Christmas Eve, open the live map and press Watch Santa fly over to follow the sleigh across the whole world. Your town is remembered on this device only; nothing is sent anywhere.
