Snowball Showdown

Snowball Showdown

Pull back from your elf and let go to throw a snowball (or flick towards the other fort). Tap to duck behind your wall. On a keyboard, hold space to power up and let go to throw; press down to duck. Choose 2 players at the top for a match on one phone: first to 10 hits wins.

How to play Snowball Showdown

Two snow forts face each other across a snowy field near the North Pole. You are the elf in the red hat behind the fort on the left. Behind the fort on the right, a gang of cheeky elves keeps popping up to wave, pull faces and throw snowballs at you.

To throw, put your finger anywhere on the screen, pull back like a catapult and let go. The dotted line shows where your snowball will start to fly. A longer pull throws further and higher. You can also flick your finger towards the other fort. Hit an elf while it is peeking over the wall and you score one hit. Hit several in a row for a streak.

Watch the sky. When a snowball comes flying your way, tap the screen quickly and your elf ducks down behind the wall. If you are too slow, you get a face full of snow and feel dizzy for a moment, so you cannot throw. You have 60 seconds to score as many hits as you can.

Playing with a friend

Pick 2 players at the top of the start screen. Hold the phone between you: the left half of the screen belongs to player 1 and the right half to player 2. Each of you pulls back and throws from your own fort, and taps to duck. The first elf to land 10 hits wins the match. On a computer, player 1 uses W to throw and S to duck, and player 2 uses the up and down arrows.
